Postgraduate degree in Concepts and Methods for Regenerating Intermediate Landscapes (virtual)

Course Description

ESARQ-UIC’s Online Postgraduate Degree in Regenerating Intermediate Landscapesprovides the methodological grounding to regenerate contemporary landscapes which are both hybrid in nature and undergoing a transformation, through the integration of scales, methodological approaches and actors.

The “intermediate landscape” denomination moves us on to a new technical and intellectual position when dealing with complex challenges, such as the preservation of cultural landscapes and river spaces, the regeneration of informal settlements and urban sprawl, as well as the transformation of suburban thoroughfares into main streets. In order to do this it is necessary to have access to alternative tools and, above all, undertake a new mediating position. New planners and designers must be able to integrate local projects and regional planning based on a strategic overview.

The Online Postgraduate Degree in Regenerating Intermediate Landscapes is based on work sessions which are both theoretical and practical. They are carried out via distance learning using a virtual platform on the internet.
