European Master in Transfusion Medicine and Advanced Cell Therapies (EMTACT)


Course Description

The aim of the Master's programme is to provide a broad training in Transfusion medicine and associated fields so that students acquire the necessary skills to work in transfusion centres and also to carry out research in the related areas or develop technically qualified projects in the company sector.

5 Modules, divided into Didactic-Units:

MODULE I: Blood donation(9ECTS)

MODULE II: Transfusion(12ECTS)

MODULE III: Immunohematology (9ECTS)

MODULE IV: Cell and tissue therapies. Tissue Banks(15ECTS)

MODULE V: Transfusion Medicine management concepts.(5ECTS)

Entry Requirements

Have a relevant BSc (For example Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Biology) or a Bachelor's degree with relevant course work, or its equivalent, in another relevant biomedical discipline from a recognized university of good standing.The following list are the selection criteria to be enrolled in the master:- For a 60 ECTS Master Course, 240 ECTS are required for admission.- High English level
