MA Visual Arts

Course Description

This course offers two routes through the programme of study. It provides the opportunity to either explore the boundaries of contemporary visual arts practice across a range of media or to analyse and theorise issues within visual culture through independent research and writing.
For those on the practice based route, within the context of fine art / art and design, the media areas include: printmaking, painting, photographic arts, digital arts, ceramics, drawing, graphics and illustration.
Those students on the written critical theory route define their own subject, theme and context from the broad area of visual culture for their work.
