Psychology: Cognitive-Affective Neuroscience

Course Description

Cognitive-Affective Neuroscience (CAN) offers a wide array of neuroscientific methods to analyze human behavior and perception. It comprises the modules Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychobiology, Lifespan Developmental Neuroscience, Neurobiology of individual differences, Neuroimaging, and Statistical Methods and the supplemental modules Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Human Performance in Socio-Technical Systems. Students have access to molecular biological, psychophysiological, and reaction time laboratories and to the Neuroimaging Center.
The Cognitive-Affective Neuroscience (CAN) master program has a modular structure. It encompasses eight compulsory and two compulsory elective subjects and concludes with a master thesis.

Entry Requirements

1. A university degree (recognized Germany) in the field of psychology with a minimum duration of 6 semesters or a comparable university degree. 2. Sufficient written/spoken English and German language (level B2 of the European framework of reference for languages). 3. Evidence of sufficient qualification for the CAN. 4. Application deadline: 15th July (international students: 31st May / 30th November).
