Law MPhil (Full time)


Course Description

In depth exploration of a research question involving personal research undertaken over 12-72 months (depending on mode of study) under the expert guidance of a supervisory team in Law.

Course content

Undertaking a project under expert supervision, exploring your topic and producing a thesis from your research in preparing for your viva in which you will defend your thesis.

MPhil (40,000 words) minimum registratation 1.5-2 years.

Employment opportunities

Higher degrees are often required for senior positions in business and industry. Many students undertake research degrees with a view to a career in education/academia.

The Merit scholarships will be awarded automatically on application to the University as follows:Applicants with results equivalent to UK First Class degree: £2,000
Applicants with results equivalent to UK 2:1 degree: £1,500
Applicants with results equivalent to UK 2.:2 degree: £1,000
