This programme will provide you with knowledge and expertise in Internet systems and technologies with basic and advanced levels of business aspects for not only providing the usual Internet service businesses, but also for generating new Internet business opportunities. The programme will allow for creation of business minded technologists as well as technology minded business people for the design of Future Internet architectures, systems, and business models.

a) Develop students’ knowledge and expertise in Internet systems and technologies through practical application analysing and evaluating problems and responding to challenges in real time
b) Develop students’ knowledge and understanding of the Internet service businesses, including the ability to spot trends and gaps in the market and to develop ideas that respond to identified needs
c) Develop students’ critical thinking in order to evaluate the factors affecting the success of the innovation process
d) Use action-based learning to provide individuals and teams with employment skills essential to the digital/tech industry
To complete the MSc Internet Technologies with Business students must complete 8 x 15 credit modules. Students must choose and complete 2 of the Glendonbrook optional modules and 3 of the Digital Technologies optional modules to complete the MSc Internet Technologies with Business. 2 of these modules must be completed in semester 1 and 3 in semester 2. All students must complete a Dissertation worth 60 credits.
Modules are assessed primarily by exams and also include a combination of group exercises, presentations and time-constrained coursework and assignments with varying levels of weighting depending on the nature of each module.
Your Loughborough University MSc in Internet Technologies with Business will equip you with key technologies and skills on how to combine Internet technologies to create services with viable business options. Graduates are expected to develop their own start-ups, join new SMEs or work at established Internet technology and telecommunication companies. Graduates will also have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and career prospects further by undertaking an MRes or PhD programme.
