International Management (MSc)

Course Description

This course is designed for ambitious and self-motivated individuals at the outset of their professional working life. It includes all the major management functions and will enable you to build effective management skills, understand management within the global context and develop a wide international network of associates. This course is demanding: teaching delivery is normally five days a week (Monday to Friday), for a total of 15 hours per week in both the autumn and spring terms, for a total in excess of 300 hours.

This is one of only 11 MSc courses in the UK to be accredited by AMBA (the Association of MBAs). It is ideal for those who wish to pursue a postgraduate degree in general management with an international orientation and will prepare you to enter the globalised world of work on a competitive footing, maximising your potential and widening your choices.

Graduates with an interest in a functional specialism, such as marketing or human resources management, may pursue a career with a multinational enterprise, and important skills are also gained for those entering fields, such as finance or accountancy, with professional, regulatory bodies. In addition, we recognize the role of family-owned and closely-held businesses to some graduates.

This MSc is particularly relevant if you have less than two years full-time work experience and is suitable if you did not study management as part of your undergraduate degree.
