TWU’s Education of the Deaf Teacher Preparation Program prepares diverse teachers of the Deaf in response to current need in the field. Graduate students are educated with practice-based coursework focusing on communication, language, and content information for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing. We seek to prepare highly qualified practitioners in the field of deaf education nationwide by equipping future teachers with broad knowledge and skills for promoting strong social, linguistic, and academic outcomes among students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
