Psychology – the study of mind and behaviour – can enhance a wide range of careers, particularly in today’s complex, globalised environment. As individuals face increasing pressures, professionals with expertise in assisting and motivating people are in demand in businesses and organisations worldwide.
Our online MSc in Psychology programme provides a rigorous and lively study of the science and practice of psychology. Focusing on psychology for the real world – through a unique learning journey that presents core theories in context (self, identity, culture, relationships, workplace) – this fully online programme connects you with experienced international faculty and fellow students. Your assignments will include scientific experiments and interactive activities ranging from simulations of NASA moon tasks to psychometric testing.
Benefiting from the research and teaching expertise of the University’s Department of Psychology, you’ll build your own research skills and investigate in depth a psychology issue that’s relevant to your life.
Each of the Roehampton Online masters programmes has been designed to help you move forward in your life and follows the same basic structure.
Every online programme is made up of seven modules and a research project. Every module lasts 12 weeks. You then have a break of approximately two weeks before resuming your studies. Your research project is much like a dissertation, in which all previous leaning culminates in an academic research paper. Modules equate to 20 academic credits while your research project carries 40 credits – but you have 26 weeks to complete that part of your programme.

“I have studied at a university in London and met others from different countries, but the impact was not as great as what I am experiencing with online learning. The interactive nature of learning at the University of Roehampton Online is a lot more effective, personal, and real.”
“I think the thing that stood out more than anything for Roehampton, was that somebody took the time to talk to me and took me through the application process.”
