About the course

The MSc/LLM Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy Law degree provides an opportunity to critically assess key legal and contractual aspects including licensing, contracts, M&A, environmental and renewable energy of the global Energy and Oil and Gas sectors, both in the UK and leading international regions.

The course is designed to allow basic legal concepts to be covered in depth before building on this knowledge by moving onto specific energy, oil and gas law content.

You will develop key transferable legal skills to drive your career further and on successful completion you will be able to understand and deal with some of the main energy legal issues in the industry.

Entry Requirements

Applicants will normally hold a a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree or its equivalent in any subject discipline.
Applicants with relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5, or an equivalent.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
International students who do not meet our direct entry requirements for this course can gain additional entry points through our International College at Robert Gordon University.
