Master of Finance (MOF)

Course Description

This master program prepares young graduates with a background in finance or economics for a future in the financial sector by providing them a business attitude combined with the necessary analytical and practical decision making and management skills.
Obtain your degree "Master of Finance" in June and get a second degree “Master of Science in Global Finance” at Fordham Graduate School of Business, New York during the summer.


Finance professionals with a strong background in analytical and practical
decision making are increasingly demanded by a wide range of multinational
corporations and financial institutions such as banks, mutual funds, pension funds, insurance companies and investment agencies.


This program gives you a strong background in analytical and practical decision making, management skills and a business attitude for a function in the financial sector.

You can obtain a Dual Master Degree in Finance in only 1 year. You will study at Antwerp Management School (Belgium) for 10 months from September until June. After successful completion, you will obtain the degree “Master of Finance“ from Antwerp Management School. You can then go to New York during the summer (July-August) to take three finance courses at Fordham Graduate School of Business in the centre of Manhattan. After successful completion you will obtain the degree “Master of science in Global Finance” from Fordham Graduate School of Business.

Content level: Deepening Expertise


You will have a strong background in analytical and practical decision making.
You will have a set of skills ranging from corporate finance decisions to portfolio management and derivative pricing .
You will have a thorough knowledge of the theory and concepts of all major areas of financial management and their strategic implementation.



The Master of Finance is taught in an interactive way. Students are expected to actively participate in class discussions, analyse business cases, prepare business presentations, report by means of group papers and engage in computer-assisted exercises. In all courses the focus will be on the practical application of concepts in real business life. The program comprizes three 10-week modules with courses focusing on the practical application of concepts in real business life. Moreover, the program also puts the emphasis on business skills and on the development of management skills.

Fordham Graduate School of Business - Master of Science in Global Finance

Students applying for the Master of Science in Global Finance at Fordham Graduate School of Business (New York, USA) will have to follow four extra sessions at Antwerp Management School:

- A module dealing with FOREX in GFM I
- A simulation game included in GFM II
- A module discussing issue procedures of financial instruments in RCEM
- A module concerning the organization of asset management in CIF

July – August

After a successful graduation in Antwerp, the students will take on three courses in New York City over the summer:

- Global Equity Portfolio Management
- Global Corporate Governance
- Global Risk Management

Our Leadership and Career Development Track helps you launch your career. Throughout the complete year a Career Development Manager will guide you. Additionally you will have access to our documentation center and a database of companies and organizations.



Requirements -
Candidates applying for the Master of Finance should hold a degree that represents 4 years of full-time study at university level, resulting in a master’s degree or an equivalent bachelor’s degree (a full time, 4-year curriculum, excluding orientation or preparatory years). It is possible to apply before you have completed your studies. In this case, the selection procedure will take place under the assumption that you graduate from your present studies before starting the program. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.

Application process -
All students applying for the Master of Finance will need to go through the following steps:

1. Fill in the application form on top of this page and upload the following documents:
- Resume/CV
- Motivation essay; detailed instructions on how to write this essay can be found here
- Academic Transcripts
- TOEFL/IELTS scores (exceptions: native English speakers and/or an English undergraduate degree)

2. Once your application file is complete (see step1), you will be invited for on online numerical and verbal assessment.

3. Skype or face-to-face interview on our campus to obtain insight of your motivation, perseverance, personality, leadership skills, as well as your knowledge of English.

After completing the application procedure, you can expect an answer from us within 1-2 weeks.

Application deadline -
As we only accept a limited number of students, we strongly encourage you to apply as soon as possible. Moreover, applying early will give non-EU students sufficient time to arrange for visas. The deadline to apply for EU citizens is August 31, 2015 and for non-EU citizens June 30, 2015.
