Erasmus Mundus European Master in System Dynamics

Course Description


The European Master's in System Dynamics is the first international Master's programme in System Dynamics in Europe. It has been built on the strengths of four leading universities: the University of Bergen, New University of Lisbon, University of Palermo and Radboud University. The programme has been specifically designed for students who are interested in learning how to initiate strategic change in organisations by using computer simulation models.

Goals & expectations

Our goal is to teach you everything you need to know when starting an international career in strategic modeling with System Dynamics. After you have finished our Master's Programme, you will know how to build a System Dynamics model, how to apply it to a variety of complex problems in real life and how to facilitate the model-building process with the client in such a way that not only can a high-quality model be built, but what is equally important, that a strategic change can be achieved and policies can be implemented.

Fullbright-Radboud Scholarships - No. of awards TBC

The Fulbright Center, sponsored by Radboud University, is offering scholarships to excellent American students for study and research purposes at graduate and PhD levels at Radboud University Nijmegen. The Fulbright Center's mission is to promote mutual understanding between Dutch and American citizens by providing financial assistance for study, research and teaching. To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must have American nationality, have excellent academic marks, engage in extracurricular activities and be admitted to Radboud University Nijmegen.The grant will be paid in 12 monthly instalments of €1050. International travel will be reimbursed up to a maximum of €900. The cost of the residence permit (approximately €350) will be covered as well. An extra allowance of €1150 will be paid on arrival, and can be used to cover the cost of the tuition fee or the costs of settling in. Tuition fees are not waived, and differ per program.
Application for 2016-2017 opens on 1 May 2016 and closes on 13 October 2016.

The Holland Scholarship Programme - 12 Awards

The Holland Scholarship (HS) gives excellent students the opportunity to study at Radboud University. The HS is open to students with the following nationalities: Canadian, American, Indian and Turkish. All English-taught Master’s programmes are eligible for the HS and amount to € 5,000.-

Application Procedure

You can apply for the Holland Scholarship at Radboud University when you apply for a Master's programme in Osiris. That means that the application for admission and the application for the scholarship are fully integrated.
The application deadline is 1 February. If not all scholarships will be given out, the second deadline is 1 May.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for the Master's in System Dynamics - No. of awards TBC

Several Erasmus Mundus scholarships (both non-EEA and EEA, funded with support from the European Commission) are offered within the programme. Students will, during their master's programme, travel to University of Bergen (Norway), University of Palermo (Italy), New University of Lisbon (Portugal) and/or Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands).This scholarship is for excellent students, and requires excellent grades in students' previous education, good motivation and recommendation letters, etc. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is 1st December.This scholarship covers tuition fees, travel costs, installation costs, insurance, and, in addition, EEA students receive € 500 and non-EEA students receive € 1,000 per month for other expenses. The scholarship is allocated for this particular programme and cannot be used to study in a different programme.

Erasmus Mundus is a scholarship programme from the European Union available to talented students from inside and outside the EU. Its goal is to promote the attractiveness of European higher education throughout the world, and to establish Europe as a setting 'par excellence' for higher education.This Erasmus Mundus scholarship at Radboud University Nijmegen can be obtained for the Joint European Master's Programme in System Dynamics. This programme is a two year full-time Master's programme coordinated by Radboud University.

Entry Requirements

You should have a University bachelor degree (BSc), equal to the educational standards set by the European Higher Education Area and higher education partners in the programme and consortium, in 'social sciences', 'management sciences', 'natural sciences' or 'engineering sciences'.• You must be able to hand over proof of proficiency in English: a legally certified copy of an IELTS, a TOEFL or a CAE/CPE certificate which may at the time of application not be taken longer than two years ago.• Your cv, including a short summary of your Bachelor thesis (in English).• 3 letters of recommendation (in English).
