The Business for Agri-food and Rural Enterprise programmes, have been designed to develop a conceptual understanding of the principles and processes of change affecting individuals, groups or organisations within the agri-food and rural business sectors, through an active and innovative approach to learning and teaching.
There are several exit points within this programme, including PgDip, PgCert and Graduate Certificate which articulate different career routes and industry needs.
Students will complete their courses at the College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE), Loughry Campus, Cookstown, Co. Tyrone.
Programme content will vary depending on your chosen degree route:
- Graduate Certificate: Business Communication, Information Communication and Learning Technology, Personal Communication. - PG Certificate: Integrating Learning with Business needs, Rural business Dynamics Skills to Affect Change within Business. - PG Diploma: Innovation Management option, Innovation Management for Rural Business, Rural Enterprise Development option, Rural Enterprise Development Business, Communication option, Business communication. - MSc: Six modules from the PG Diploma programme, plus a research project.
A 2.2 Honours degree or above or equivalent qualification acceptable to the University in Business/Management Studies, Agriculture, Food Science or Food Technology, Geography or other approved subject.
