MSc Computational Finance and Trading

Course Description

The programme will equip students with the cutting-edge quantitative and computational techniques and strategies utilised by leading financial firms and will prepare students for future careers in a quantitative finance, trading or more general finance environment.

Key feature: a number of core modules will be taught in the School's new First Derivatives Trading Room, which recreates the excitement of a financial trading floor, and provides students with hands-on trading and investment management experience. Real-time data displayed using industry-standard financial technologies (Bloomberg terminals) will be used to provide the best possible introduction to a financial trading environment.

Entry Requirements

Upper second class honours degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics or other relevant quantitative subject, from a suitably quality assured university . International applicants should also have an IELTS score of 6.5 with not less than 5.5 in each of the four component elements of listening, reading,speaking and writing taken within the last 2 years; or equivalent English language qualification.
