My friends in UK suggested QM and told me about how nice the campus was and about the rating of the School of economics and finance.
Are you happy with the standard of your teaching/supervision?
Very satisfied, better than I have imagined, everyone is so helpful and supporting and caring
What do you enjoy most about the course?
I enjoy all the practical knowledge they give us such as, financial trading programme where we learn how to trade with Bloomberg
What are the main differences between undergraduate and postgraduate study? Has it been an easy transition to make?
It is very different, QMUL is more structured, divided lectures and support classes and even schedule office hour for extra help, which didn’t exist in my bachelor studies. It had been easy to adapt to the system through all support they have given us
What’s it like being a postgraduate student in London?
It is amazing, the university is placed 20 minutes walking distance from the biggest financial district in London where plenty of my friends already git jobs, and close to the city where I have learnt to know people from financial industry
Are you involved in any social/volunteering activities on or off campus? If so, can you describe them?
I am involved in QUMMIF, which is our investment fund where my position is corporate bond analyst, where we trade for over £20,000 in total and gain practical knowledge about how a fund works
What are the advantages of a campus university like Queen Mary? Flexible, beautiful study environment, easy to meet up with my friends, feels like home
