The Masters by Research in Media and Arts Technology is an innovative full-time one-year programme that combines advanced technical and creative skills with extended placements from amongst a range of industrial and public-sector partner organizations.
On entry to the programme you will be given a personal needs training assessment that will identify the areas of expertise you will develop over the course of the year. We offer advanced modules which cover topics ranging from advanced technical skills through human interaction to performance and live art. We also offer training in professional skills including entrepreneurship and technology transfer.
QMUL International Science and Engineering Excellence Awards
In recognition of the important investment that overseas postgraduate students are making in their education, Queen Mary is pleased to offer International Science and Engineering Excellence Awards for 2017 entry. These awards are for the value of £5,000 and are designed to reward academic achievement and help attract the brightest and best postgraduate students from overseas.International Science and Engineering Excellence Awards will be deducted directly from tuition fees payable to the College. They apply to all postgraduate taught courses offered by the following Schools:- School of Biological and Chemical Sciences - School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science - School of Engineering and Materials Science - School of Physics and Astronomy - School of Mathematical Sciences (MSc Network Science only)

You must have achieved a UK First Class Bachelor’s degree or an overseas equivalent. You must be eligible to pay overseas tuition fees. This scheme is available only to students who apply for and enrol in an eligible course in the Faculty of Science and Engineering in the 2017/18 academic year. There is no need to complete a separate application form to be considered for an International Science and Engineering Excellence Award. Students will be considered for an award on the basis of the information they provide in their online application to Queen Mary. Successful candidates will be informed of their award via email notification from the Science and Engineering Faculty Office.
QMUL works closely with the Chevening - the UK government’s international scheme aimed at developing global leaders - to provide a large number of full scholarships for study on our one-year Masters courses.Every year QMUL hosts a large cohort of the 1500 Chevening Scholars who come to study at universities all over the UK. In 2016-17 we have a record of 87 scholars joining QMUL from countries across the globe!Chevening Scholarships are available for students from all nationalities.All Chevening awards cover full overseas tuition fees, as well as providing a stipend for living costs, air-fares, and a variety of other expenses.Chevening Scholars also benefit from a year-long programme of events helping you experience the best of British culture and to make the most of your time in the UK.There are two types of award on offer at QMUL:QMUL-Chevening Scholarships A large number of these awards will be available across all one-year QMUL masters courses.QMUL-Chevening Partner Awards In addition to the QMUL-Chevening Scholarships, QMUL also supports an additional seventeen QMUL-Chevening Partner Awards. Value of Scholarship(s)
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country - Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended - Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry to a postgraduate programme at a UK university. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK. - Have at least two years’ work experience - Meet the Chevening English language requirement by 13 July 2017

HESPAL aims to help create the next generation of senior academics who can maintain international quality standards at Palestinian universities and to develop renewed, sustainable links between Palestinian and UK universities.The Scheme will upgrade junior academic staff in Palestinian universities through a Masters Scholarship programme.QMUL is offering one HESPAL scholarship for 2017 entry. The QMUL-HESPAL scholarship covers the following:- tuition fees - pre-departure briefing from the British Council - arrival allowances - thesis allowances - a monthly allowance to cover living expenses.The scholarship does not cover the costs for accompanying family, visa fees, IELTS cost, and Airfare ticket to from the UK.

Applicant must be a resident citizen of Palestinian Territories. Applicant must be currently employed by the Palestinian university which nominates her/him, which must be one of the participating Palestinian universities listed below. Applicant will have a Masters degree from a Palestinian university (see footnotes) with a minimum grade of very good (and equivalent to at least a 3.0 Bachelor’s Degree from UK). Applicant must sign a written undertaking to return to Palestinian university within a time frame agreed with their university, normally one year. Applicant must have IELTS certification appropriate for course and university
