Innate Immunity in Health and Disease, 120 credits


Course Description

Do you want to know more about infectious diseases and to understand why some individuals get severe life-threatening disease, whereas others are only mildly affected? This Master programme will give you in-depth knowledge in microbiology, cell biology and molecular biology essential for understanding the function of the innate immune system. The Master programme will prepare you for PhD doctoral studies or for work with biomedical issues in the industry or in the health care system. The programme is offered in cooperation with national and international research groups.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine, Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Master of Science in Medicine, or Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine. Alternatively a first-cycle qualification comprising at least 180 credits of which at least 90 credits are for specialised study in one of the main fields of study biomedicine, biomedical laboratory science, biology or medicine. The applicant must also have qualifications corresponding to the course "English 6" or "English B" from the Swedish Upper Secondary School.
