Cardiovascular Medicine, 120 credits

Course Description

Interested in finding treatments for the most common disease? This Master programme focuses on frontline knowledge and research in the field of experimental cardiovascular medicine. The programme is concerned with the understanding of cellular and molecular mechanisms related to the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease. In focus is development of new pharmacological and interventional therapies for future treatments of cardiovascular diseases. The programme offers in-depth theoretical knowledge and excellent methodological skills including in vivo and in vitro models used to study cardiovascular disease. The programme is coordinated by Cardiovascular Research Centre in close cooperation with national and international research groups.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine, Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Master of Science in Medicine, or Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine. Alternatively a first-cycle qualification comprising at least 180 credits of which at least 90 credits are for specialised study in one of the main fields of study biomedicine, biomedical laboratory science, biology or medicine. The applicant must also have qualifications corresponding to the course "English 6" or "English B" from the Swedish Upper Secondary School.
