Ehsan Asnaashari

522.jpg Ehsan studied Civil Engineering as an undergraduate in Iran. His experiences on Iranian construction sites highlighted the problems that can occur without good management. Ehsan wanted to increase his knowledge in this area so he applied for an MSc course in construction management at NTU.

“This course has absolutely changed my mind about construction projects. I found that there are different factors which may affect the life cycle of a construction project in addition to structural analysis and architectural design. I have learned many things about HR management, strategy management, project management, marketing. I didn’t have any academic background in those areas before. Something which was amazing is that I never had to buy a book during my study because the majority of books were available in the library.

“I had access to many databases and e-journals which helped me to gain the most up-to-date knowledge about different aspects of my study.

“At present I am a PhD student in the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment at NTU, which will last at least three years. After that I want to apply my knowledge in practice within the construction industry.”
