Work in our dedicated Art and Design postgraduate studio. Benefit from regular lectures from leading figures in the design industry. Attend workshops covering typography, visual language, branding, storyboarding and life drawing sessions. Opt for an additional advanced research module if you're thinking of progressing to PhD or Professional Doctorate study.

“NTU’s School of Art & Design has a good reputation and it’s one of the main reasons that I chose to study here.
“I really enjoy attending tutorials because it is great to share ideas about work with other students. We are given opportunities to collaborate with students that study other areas of visual communication such as Branding Design.
“The course staff are extremely helpful and have taught me how to have a professional approach to my work. The library is another great resource that helps me with my studies, it has everything you need in it.
“In comparison to China, Nottingham is much quieter! Although, there is always lots going on in the city which provides me with a lot of inspiration for my studies.
“I’d recommend this course because it has provided me with advanced knowledge about Graphic Design, including how to come up with viable ideas and complete thorough research. The opportunities we have to present our work will certainly help me progress with my career as I now have much more confidence.”
“I chose to study at NTU because all of the visual communication lectures are taught together, which was appealing considering that I didn’t come from a design undergraduate degree. This meant that whilst studying motion graphics, I am still able to develop knowledge in other areas such as branding and illustration.
“The tutors and academics really make an effort to get to know you and your reasons behind your chosen project. This allows them to provide a lot of guidance and support to ensure you get the best design out of your time at NTU.
“We have our own space in the MA studios which is great, as it is an area where you and other postgraduate students can collaborate and develop ideas together.
“I would recommend my course because it lets me develop areas I want to develop as a designer. I am never pressured to work in a particular way and have the opportunity to base my project around content that I am passionate about. Being a keen golfer, I decided to create a National Campaign as my project, to encourage more juniors to participate in golf.”
