MRes Cancer Biology


Course Description

This course will give you advanced knowledge of cellular systems. You will learn about the pathogenesis of cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and kidney fibrosis, along with an exploration of current approaches to cancer gene therapy and immunotherapy.

What will I study?

The MRes courses are divided into a taught element (60 credit points) and a laboratory-based research project (120 credit points). You will complete the extended research project in one of our highly rated research teams.

A UK honours degree (minimum 2.1) or higher qualification in a Biological or Computing subject, plus laboratory experience gained through employment or an undergraduate research project.Appropriate experience or other relevant qualifications will also be considered.
