Programme Focus
The MSc in International Marketing and Management is BI Norwegian School of Management’s answer to the challenges of international business life.

The first year of the program takes place in Norway at BI Norwegian School of Management. The second year of the program will move students to one of the four partner schools in France, Germany, UK or Singapore.

The program is unique in that it exposes students to two international business and academic environments thus preparing them optimally for a career in international business. It will give the students insight into the way international companies operate in Norway, in the three major European countries - France, Germany and the UK- and in Singapore, one of the most internationalized economies in South East Asia.

Programme Structure
The Master of Science Program in International Marketing and Management is a two-year, 120-ECTS-credit program, 90 course credits and 30 MSc thesis credits.

The MSc program has three types of courses:

Common courses, which provide a common methodological platform for all MSc students; typically taken in the first year of the program. Average class size: 100-150 students.

Specialization courses, which provide a first introduction in the area of specialization (major); typically taken in the first year of the program. Average class size: 50-80 students.

Advanced courses, which go more in depth into a specialization issue and build on specialization courses; typically taken in the second year of the program. Average class size: 30-50 students.

The program culminates in the MSc thesis, which enables the student to pursue in depth a particular area of interest and develop a personal understanding of a leading edge issue in the field of specialization. The MSc thesis will be a unique cooperation between BI Norwegian School of Management and the international partner concerned: students will be assigned 2 supervisors, one from each school.

During the second year of the program at one of the partner institutions students will take additional advanced courses as well courses that deal specifically with the challenges of international companies in the host country concerned.
