Are you looking to complement your undergraduate studies with a business-focused master’s degree that will enhance your employability? This course develops broad business skills while also offering a specialist pathway in hospitality and tourism management that starts after the first semester.
Specialist modules cover topics such as responsible tourism, tour operations, and managing attractions and destinations. You’ll also explore the issues facing international hospitality organisations. Your studies will equip you for roles in the hospitality and tourism industries, which need well-qualified professionals, as well as in general management.
The course culminates in either a master’s dissertation or, if you prefer, a consultancy project where you’ll tackle an issue faced by a real client. Throughout the course there’s a focus on self-development and employability.
There is no requirement to have studied business, hospitality or tourism at undergraduate level.
The course is covered by the prestigious AACSB accreditation for Newcastle Business School, which was ‘Business School of the Year’ at The Times Higher Education Awards 2015.
A first degree, equivalent to a 2.2 honours classification. Applicants who do not have such an academic qualification but do have substantial experience of working in a business organisation and/or possess a relevant professional qualification will also be considered.
Recipient: Northumbria University
