Early Years Education (Postgraduate Certificate)

Course Description

About this course

Our Early Years and Primary (Blended) PGCE course will allow you to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the Primary National Curriculum, to enable you to kick-start your career in teaching.

Graded by Ofsted as ‘Outstanding’ – the highest grading possible – this course is primarily delivered online, with the addition of two compulsory training weekends each year. Placements form a large part of the course’s structure and you will complete practical and assessed placements throughout the duration of your course.

You will also have the opportunity to choose an area of specialism should you wish to focus on one key subject.

On completion of the Early Years and Primary (Blended) PGCE course you will achieve Qualified Teacher Status, which allows you to begin working in a school or other educational establishment.
