The first stage of this course will introduce you to key concepts and frameworks related to built environment disciplines. The second stage is specific to housing and will develop your ability to plan and develop housing developments, manage rented housing, ensure compliance with planning policy frameworks, and understand contemporary issues affecting the providers and users of housing.
The final stage will be a master’s dissertation that investigates an aspect of how housing professionals operate in complex and unpredictable environments.
The course is accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH).

This distance learning course is for people who want to take their interest in property or construction to the next level. It will be ideal for able and motivated graduates wishing to pursue a career in housing. Even if you have studied a different discipline at undergraduate level, this could be the course for you.
Applicants should normally have a minimum of a lower second class (2:2) honours degree and be in relevant employment. For students whose first language is not English evidence of having reached the equivalent of IELTS 6.5 TOEFL (575 paper-based, 90 internet-based), is required before entry.
