What will I study?

Our MSc Mass Communication Management programme is designed with the help of industry practitioners so you will graduate with the latest knowledge and skills required by the creative and media sectors.

The modules focus upon approaches to global marketing management, advertising, promotional culture, key research approaches and skills as well as mass communication industries and working patterns. You will explore and understand leading media theories, trends and key issues and how they influence contemporary mass communication and the creative media industries.

This programme has a strong international focus combining key aspects of marketing strategy and management approaches which would suit those interested in mass communication and the relationship it has to advertising and promotion, research methods, and contemporary mass communication industries.

How will I be taught and assessed?

Teaching and learning takes place in seminars, lectures, tutorials and workshops. In addition, you will engage in independent study involving directed and self-directed learning.

Assessments for this course are based on a mix of assignments, presentations and group work.

You will be assigned your own Guidance Tutor who will provide academic and pastoral support and be your first point of contact if you have questions or problems.

Careers and further study

Upon graduation you could progress onto a career within business management and media industries including advertising, marketing, media and journalism.

If you choose to continue your professional development and training, upon graduating, you will be eligible to join one of our Professional Pathway programmes.
