The MSc Enterprise Systems Management course provides an excellent introduction to the world of business process and systems consulting, implementation and management using SAP as a common thread throughout the course. It is particularly relevant both for experienced consultants that wish to gain a broader knowledge of SAP and those wishing to enter the SAP ecosystem for the first time.
The course enables you to rapidly gain knowledge not only in SAP itself but in how modern management information systems are structured, how they are managed and the issues in integrating them to support effective business decision making. You will take away a deep understanding of how to integrate business systems and the processes underlying them using the SAP product suite as the integrating theme and practical skillset.
The course uses SAP to reinforce key learning so that for each aspect of enterprise systems studied you will be given access to live SAP systems to enable you to thoroughly understand the concepts being taught. For the practical aspects of the course you will gain direct experience of SAP ERP, SAP Customer Relationship Management, SAP Business Intelligence, SAP Business Objects, as well as NetWeaver and SAP Enterprise Portal.
You will therefore gain not only knowledge of these specific aspects of SAP but also gain an appreciation for how a large enterprise attempts to pull together different business processes through a coherent enterprise system, and the challenges facing the elite consulting companies in implementing such systems.
In addition the Master's project will give you the opportunity to apply your skills and knowledge to practical problems and to investigate into an enterprise systems management research topic.
The program has two intakes, September and January and may be studied in full or part-time mode.
We would expect you to hold at least a Second Class Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. However, we can also consider your application without standard entry qualifications if you can provide evidence of the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully complete the course.
