Our Textile Management MA will develop the quick thinking, professional and creative skills you’ll need to thrive in this competitive sector. The fashion and textile industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, so if you have a passion and the intellectual abilities for it, we will help train you to succeed.
With support from our expert staff and the broad nature of our course, you’ll become equipped with the skills employers really value.
What's covered in the course?
We’ll teach you to lead the development of an evolving industry. We’ll give you a technical understanding of the sector and a solid foundation of management principles.
Not only will you develop your knowledge of the industry as a whole, you’ll also have the opportunity to specialise in a topic or subject of your choice that will set you apart from the crowd.
You’ll learn about the textile supply chain, as well as getting overviews of textile manufacture and design. The roles of textiles in the fashion and interior design industries will also be discussed, as well as the role of industry trends and predictions.
Our course also teaches you the transferrable skills that are very desirable to today’s employers. You’ll develop your research skills by investigating the target markets of different products, and will learn to maximise market penetration and evaluate visual merchandising.
This course is run collaboratively between Birmingham City Business School and the School of Fashion and Textiles.
