Course Description

The fashion sector is one of the fastest growing industries in the world, and it requires professional managers to lead its development. This course will help you develop appropriate skills and knowledge to give you a competitive edge in the management of fashion and its related industries.

This highly competitive sector of business requires individuals with intellectual abilities and a passion for their industry. Critical to success is a technical understanding of the sector combined with a sound foundation of management principles. This course will help you develop the skills and knowledge necessary for working in the global fashion industry. You will develop an overall understanding of the modern fashion industry and have the opportunity to specialise in a topic or subject of your choosing.

In order to maximise market penetration and consumer value, you will develop your research skills to enable you to apply them to different product strategies, covering skills such as the evaluation of visual merchandising and marketing communications.

You will gain a valuable insight into the fashion supply chain, the structure of the fashion market, global fashion perspectives, the role of trends and predictions, ethical fashion, work and career structures and how fashion brands are promoted, established and maintained. Learning about the development of the history of the fashion business, strategies that inform fashion marketing and branding, as well as articulating trend forecasting will mean you will graduate able to perform a number of roles in the competitive global industry.
