This course is a unique dual award degree. It provides you with the opportunity to engage with the study of operations management. You will explore different business environments and cultural contexts.
You have the opportunity to study at Newcastle University and the University of Groningen. You study different cultural contexts and business environments. You will apply the knowledge and understanding that you develop to: improve business performance, develop operations strategies, organise competitive advantages in technology-intensive industries.
This will enhance your employability for operations management roles within international and multinational companies.
You will learn how to: analyse operations functions in different countries, understand various institutional environments, develop a sharp eye for operations management within multinational enterprises.
We arrange an industry visit each year and invite guest speakers from industry to share their experiences and insights with you.
The course will suit those looking to develop the necessary specialist knowledge and skills to pursue careers in: operations management, technology management, supply chain management, general management, consulting.
On successful completion of the course, you will receive two MSc degrees with the following awards: Operations and Supply Chain Management MSc from Newcastle University and Technology Operations Management MSc from the University of Groningen.
A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant discipline. If your first language is not English you need an overall IELTS score of 6.5 (with at least 6.5 in writing and 6.0 in all other sub-skills).
