Geochemistry is the study of the world around us using chemical tools and principles and Birkbeck is the only university to offer advanced training in geochemistry via part-time evening study and distance learning. This programme will give you an advanced knowledge of a range of geochemical disciplines, from Earth surface chemistry and pollution to resource geochemistry and magmatic processes. It provides high-level professional and academic training in geochemical theory, knowledge and practice, as well as field and laboratory methodologies, so that you are prepared for further study in geochemistry, or for a career in a range of areas, including environmental science, sustainability, industry, government and other organisations.
As well as attending this course at Birkbeck in central London, you can also study by distance learning via our online learning environment. You can access course materials and recordings of lectures wherever you are in the world - and whenever it suits you.
A training week in central London in field and laboratory methods of geochemistry is included.
