This course aims to provide you with a sound knowledge of psychology, and it has been developed to impart the advanced knowledge required to serve your interests and career aspirations. You will be introduced to the broad range of theoretical and methodological approaches to psychology and be encouraged to develop a critical approach to your studies, evaluating theory and evidence accordingly. Graduates of this course are able to apply multiple perspectives to areas within psychology, and to identify and evaluate patterns of behaviour and psychological functioning.
By the end of this course, you will be able to perform quantitative and qualitative data analyses; use statistical software to analyse complex data; design, implement, analyse and communicate independent and group project work; demonstrate effective written and oral communication enabling you to formulate and sustain a coherent argument; use experimental software to design and run experiments; and use psychophysiological equipment to gather and interpret data.
