MSc Advanced Physiotherapy, Neurological Therapy Focus

Course Description

MSc Advanced Physiotherapy is an advanced programme of study for registered and qualified Physiotherapists. Under our main programme title, there are five areas where the student can focus and these are related to an area of specialist practice.

Each area consists of mandatory (core) units which must be taken to enable the student to achieve the award of MSc Advanced Physiotherapy in addition to a wide range of optional units which can be taken to improve professional practice or develop skills in a particular area. Some units of study are delivered by other Masters programmes and other Departments. This not only widens the scope for students of the Advanced Physiotherapy programme but also offers the potential for multi professional study. Advanced Physiotherapy units must form at least two thirds of the student’s final credits in order to successfully graduate from the programme.

This flexible programme can be delivered as a full or part time programme on a modular basis. All units of study provide credits which are built up to offer exit routes at the following stages:

MSc Advanced Physiotherapy (180 credits)
PgDip Advanced Physiotherapy (120 credits)
PgCert Advanced Physiotherapy (60 credits)
