MA Maker Teacher

Course Description

This course provides a free standing professional qualification for practising teachers of art, craft and design. You are encouraged to re-engage with your own practice as makers and consider how your creative journey might positively enrich and invigorate approaches to teaching and learning through art, craft and design.

Assignment related course input will involve strands such as engagement with the creativity agenda in art, craft and design and with relevant contemporary issues and initiatives, alongside museum and gallery-based research.

This course offers a great degree of flexibility as the only core module is dissertation. The remainder of the award is made up of four optional units chosen from the list below.

It also emphasises that you have engaged in research into your own professional practice.
