Master of Commerce in Value Chain Management (Normandy Business School, France)

Course Description

The MCom in Value Chain Management degree program is fully taught at the Normandy Business School (NBS), which is a prestigious business school located in the port city of Le Havre, Normandy, France. NBS attracts a quality group of students to its undergraduate and postgraduate programs and maintains strong links with regional, national and international companies.

The MCom in Value Chain Management program aims at developing comprehensive insights and management skills in the design and management of customer-driven demand chains/networks, resource driven supply chains/networks and the overarching financial value chain management framework. In addition, the degree program builds cutting-edge skills in service supply chain management and offers familiarity with strategic distribution and transportation issues as well as end-user information technology in supply and demand networks. These skills prepare graduates to function in coordinated, multi-enterprise organisations to meet different and unique customer expectations.

The value chain starts at the raw materials processor end and stretches forward through a combination of manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and distributors, all of whom add value, ending with the customer. The concept recognises the increasingly networked environment that companies operate in, often relying on many partners and contractors in the delivery of their product or service. Value Chain Management takes a strategic approach to all aspects of the supply chain – physical (transportation and storage), financial (cash flows and expenses), informational (e-commerce systems and market intelligence) and relational (customer and stakeholder relationship management).

The Master of Commerce in Value Chain Management degree requires the completion of eight units.
