This program is suitable for graduates seeking to advance their knowledge in accounting, finance and related areas for career development purposes. This MCom program is practice-based, contemporary and taught by a group of highly qualified academic staff and practising professionals. Students can specialise by choosing units in a preferred area, such as finance or accounting. Alternatively, students can take a mixture of units across accounting, finance and related areas such as information systems and taxation.
The MCom in Accounting and Finance consists of eight postgraduate units. Students select eight units from the list of units available in consultation with an adviser taking into consideration the student's academic background, present interests and career needs.
Applicants must hold a bachelor degree with a major in accounting or finance from a recognised university. A GPA of 2.70 (out of 4.00) is expected. English proficiency (IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 580)
