The first semester of the programme is composed of general engineering courses, with a special stress on technical basics: hydrodynamics and structure modelling for maritime engineering, with a systemic approach of marine structures.
Second semester : 2 options 1. Naval architecture and offshore engineering It prepares engineers to design and assess new ships and offshore structures. Material behaviour together with factors influencing the dynamic behaviour of offshore installations. 2. Offshore energies engineering Marine energy resources, from fossil fuels to renewable energies: oil and gas production, offshore wind, wave and tidal power.
Third semester 6 months internship a
The programme gives an advanced knowledge of project management related to the maritime sector. Students acquire tools to understand and prepare for future changes and to meet tomorrow’s challenges. They are trained to take into account all possible sources in a constantly evolving economic, political, ecological and social environment; running of major projects incorporating cost, profitability and reliability assessment aspects.
