Building on our long established social work degrees and practice teacher courses, we are offering a step on, step off pathway in practice education, which is taught part-time and is usually delivered on Mondays.
The programme begins with the Practice Education 1 module (Stage 1), that is required for social workers wanting to work with a student on a pre-qualifying social work course.
The module Practice Education 2 meets the Stage 2 requirements for social workers working with a final year social work student.
Social workers wanting to advance their skills in practice education can study for further modules leading to the PgCert (1 year), PgDip (2 years) or MA (3 years) in Practice Education (Social Work).
This course offers opportunities for you to develop a sound understanding and knowledge of your role as a practice educator in relation to teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum design.
