This MBA has been designed for ambitious graduates and experienced managers, new to Higher Education, with the level of insight required to not only transform their modes of operation, but also that of the business they are in. We welcome applications from those who possess an applied understanding of commercial acumen and the drive to competitively progress into high-salaried positions of senior responsibility.
The programme is aimed at managers and professionals with a minimum of two years’ relevant management experience who wish to develop a portfolio of leadership skills and business competencies. This will be done through the application of frameworks, business models and theories derived from practical business experience, cutting-edge theories and academic texts.
This internationally recognised business qualification can be studied while in employment or as full-time course. As well as stimulating your intellect, the MBA will develop new competencies that will enable you to progress beyond your current position.

Business Environment and Analysis
Enables you to identify and analyse the key elements of the external business environment in which organisations operate
Managing Finance and Information
Provides the tools to interpret and evaluate financial information. The emphasis of the module will be on the use of financial information by managers for effective decision making in a relevant businesses
Managing People and Projects for Success
Develops the application of theory and practice of leadership to your own development as project managers and that of others as managers and leaders in changing organisational contexts
Strategy for Market Performance
Enables you to develop meaningful and effective strategic responses and implementation plans across the entire organisation, after undertaking comprehensive strategic analysis of specific business environments
Service Operations Management
Investigates the strategic, tactical and operational contexts of the management of service processes and operations. The module also evaluates operations management techniques and models to address optimisation and improvement of service operations
Research Methods for Managers
Enables you to plan an investigation into a complex management issue, locate the work within a body of contemporary knowledge and plan how to generate and analyse data to derive supportable conclusions and practical recommendations which can impact management practice
Requires you to produce a dissertation which investigates a complex business issue. You will locate the work within a body of contemporary knowledge, to: generate and analyse data, derive supportable conclusions and make practical and actionable recommendations for the enhancement of current business practice

Modules are designated as core or option in accordance with professional body requirements and internal Academic Framework review, so may be subject to change. Students will be required to undertake modules that the University designates as core and will have a choice of designated option modules. Additionally, option modules may be offered subject to meeting minimum student numbers.

Applicants who meet the minimum level of industry experience should have or expect to gain a good second class honours degree or above.Applicants with significant experience but who may not be in possession of a first degree are encouraged to apply to study on this programme.Applications to this programme must be supported by TWO references. An IELTS score of 6.5 (minimum of 6.0 in each subtest) is required for participants for whom English is a second language.
