PGCE Primary 5-11 with Maths specialism

Course Description

This is a professionally oriented programme that enables you to engage with a wide range of educational issues. It is designed to develop the teaching and learning role through reflective practice. The programme will provide additional opportunities to enhance your understanding of the teaching of Maths in the primary school and a strong focus on your understanding of progression in learning within this subject area.

Entry Requirements

Normal entry requirement for the Primary PGCE is an honours degree at 2ii or above in any national curriculum or relevant subject, GCSE English, Maths and Science at grade C or above. In order to be able to fulfil the requirements of the course you will need to be able to demonstrate prior experience/ knowledge of work/work experience/voluntary work in a primary setting.
