Building Surveying (MSc)

Course Description

As the construction industry strives to produce higher quality buildings and maintain the historical structures that surround us, the role of the building surveyor is vital. Gain the skills you need to construct and refurbish residential and commercial buildings that will leave a lasting legacy.

Whether you are looking for a route into the construction industry or you want to progress your career by becoming a chartered surveyor, your course will help you reach the stringent standards expected by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

You will study building pathology and defects and how to identify them, construction law and how it is applied and the technology behind measurement and design in building refurbishment. You will also learn how to repurpose existing buildings and efficiently maintain them once they have been constructed.

Our course team have close links with the construction industry and many of them are still working on live projects - their experience will ensure your learning is always current.
