Introduction The Graduate Diploma of Aviation and Business provides you with the knowledge and skills to meet the requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for a Commercial Pilot's Licence and Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating. As most Commercial Pilots in Australia work in small businesses the addition of Business Management units provides you with knowledge and skills for working in a management role in a small business. This quota-restricted course is offered to domestic students only at this stage, subject to enrolment numbers. The course is full fee-paying, which means that you will be charged at the full fee-paying rate listed for each unit.You can apply for FEE-HELP to defer the fees. Thee cost of the course uses your FEE-HELP maximum entitlement (currently set to circa $97,000 for 2015), so fees may be payable if you have already deferred some FEE-HELP fees for another course. In addition, there are other costs payable for items throughout the course, such as license fees, uniform, theory books etc. Please note that random drug and alcohol testing could be conducted at any time during this course.
Career Outcomes Completion of the Graduate Diploma will be useful for students wishing to pursue careers in the aviation industry either in a piloting and/or a managerial role.
Professional Recognition Students graduating from the Graduate Diploma will have completed the requirements necessary for the grant by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of a Commercial Pilot Licence with Multi Engine Command Rating.

a) undergone a satisfactory medical examination and Aviation Security Status check; and b) had a personal interview with Par Avion Flight Training; and c) an undergraduate degree or post graduate award or degree, or, have experience and/or qualifications as deemed appropriate by the Dean; and d) Achievement of a pass grade in UTAS approved aptitude testing.
