Course Description

Choose Kingston's International Commercial Law LLM

This course provides gives you a detailed understanding of the legal rules relating to international business, commerce, contractual matters and the effective resolution of disputes. The course covers arbitration, international trade contracts, EU competition law and international trade laws.

Students come from all over the world to study on Kingston's law courses, so you will finish the course with an international network of contacts.

About Kingston University's LLM courses

Kingston University's LLM courses allow you to specialise and tailor your degree to a topic of your choice, while also giving you the flexibility to take modules on other subjects, making it flexible and easy to adapt to your interests and career goals.

You will complete work worth 180 credits by studying four 30-credit modules and one 60-credit dissertation module.

In addition to the Law School's team of highly skilled academics, courses are taught by experienced practitioners, and many of our lecturing staff combine teaching with legal practice. This helps to ensure that the courses are constantly refreshed with the latest industry thinking and practice, and provides you with the opportunity to mix with people who can provide hands-on experience and insight into their area of legal work.

English language requirements

All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirement, which is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no element below 6.0. Make sure you read our full guidance about English language requirements, which includes details of other qualifications we consider.

Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements could be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.

Applicants from a recognised majority English speaking countries (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements.

Entry Requirements

Good honours degree in law (usually a 2:2 degree or above); or good joint honours degree (2:2 or above), where the major component is in law (for example, Accounting and Law or Combined Studies); or Graduate Diploma in Law (CPE), Legal Practice Course or Bar Professional Training Course; or qualification as a solicitor or barrister.
