Choose Kingston's Aerospace Engineering MSc
This course, which is accredited by Royal Aeronautical Society, provides a strategic overview of aerospace engineering and management issues. It will help you to develop a wider perspective and understanding of the challenges facing the aerospace engineering industry, and includes subjects such as entrepreneurship, business, finance, research techniques and green environmental issues.
UK/EU nationals are eligible for the Aero MSc Bursary Scheme with our MSc Aerospace Engineering programme.
What will you study?
You will gain a broad understanding of the practical requirements of aerospace engineering, as well as an in-depth knowledge of aerospace stress analysis and advanced materials, alongside computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for aerospace applications. Complementary subjects covered include computer-integrated product development, advanced CAD/CAM plus green engineering and energy efficiency. In addition, the Engineering Research Techniques, Entrepreneurship and Quality Management module will develop your business and management skills. The Aerospace Group Design Project module provides you with the experience of working in a multidisciplinary team within an engineering organisation – with real industrial constraints. You'll get the chance to apply the theory you've learnt to real-world contexts and evaluate methodologies, whilst developing your critical thinking and creativity.
As well as the professional, analytical and management skills necessary for employment, the course will provide you with the transferable skills required in the workplace, such as communication, IT, teamwork, planning, decision making, independent learning ability and problem solving.

English language requirements
In order to complete your programme successfully, it is important to have a good command of English and be able to apply this in an academic environment. Therefore, if you are a non-UK applicant* you will usually be required to provide certificated proof of English language competence before commencing your studies.
For this course the minimum requirement is Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall with 6.0 in Writing and 5.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking.
Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.

Postgraduate SEC International Scholarships
The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing is offering awards of £1,500 for international students on its taught, full-time MSc courses.Students selected to receive a scholarship award will act as an ambassador for Faculty promotional activities and events and have the opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience assisting with undergraduate classes for between four and six hours per week (for a maximum of 40 hours over the year and teaching times to be arranged to work around your MSc timetable and any other commitments you may have). Selection ProcessSelection is by application only and applicants must:- Have a good academic record - Provide a statement of 500 words explaining why they think they would make a good ambassador for the course and the faculty.* Please note that applicants cannot be awarded more than one scholarship.

Any international student applying for a taught full-time postgraduate MSc course in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing with a confirmed offer of a place for the next academic intake (September or January).
In order to apply for a scholarship, you are required to fill in and submit a SEC Scholarship Application Form available on our website.
The application must be typed and printed.
The deadlines for receiving your application for scholarships are:
* 31st July for September intake * 16th November for January intake
Applications received after this deadline can not be considered.
