The Glocal Community-Development Studies is a new MA program at the Hebrew University. The two-year program provides tools for the effective translation of academic perspectives into practical know-how conducive to work with communities across the globe. An integral part the program is the semester-long internship with an international NGO, held in the third semester. If you are an individual with a global perspective on the one hand, and an appreciation for local solutions on the other, come join a program which offers a unique opportunity to gain development expertise and play a meaningful role in advancing communities across the world.
Eligible applicants possess:BA with an average of 85 (A-) and above; Excellent, highly motivated and socially engaged students from diverse disciplines and programs;Fluency in English; A commitment to participate in an intensive program of study including a 4-month internship abroad;Relevant background or professional skills, proficiency in additional languages, prior experience working or volunteering abroad an advantage.Candidates will be evaluated according to academic and professional qualifications, as well as their demonstrated commitment to take an active part in international and local development work.Suitable candidates will be invited for a personal interview.
