Work Psychology is a topic that is at the core of our understanding of healthy and effective organisations and employees.
At its core, the MSc Work Psychology and Business programme emphasises the study of practical, real world organisational and business issues, combined with the academic and scientific rigour of occupational psychology as an applied science. The Business School context at Aston provides an excellent perspective of the application of occupational psychology in organisations, and gives the programme an applied and relevant focus. We believe that the balance of occupational psychology and core business understanding helps to make our graduates uniquely equipped as the next generation of Occupational Psychologists.
The MSc in Work Psychology and Business is a British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited postgraduate programme in Occupational Psychology (Stage 1).
For students with BPS Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC), successful completion of the MSc Work Psychology and Business provides the academic basis for pursuing Stage 2 of the Qualification in Occupational Psychology (QOccPysch). If you are an international student, and/or your undergraduate psychology degree is not accredited by the BPS, you will need to apply to the BPS directly to determine your eligibility for GBC, and may need to complete a conversion course should you subsequently wish to commence QOccPysch Stage 2 training.
