2514.jpg "I had 3 options based on my family commitments and travel needs. These were Warwick, Birmingham University and Aston. Warwick was always of interest to me, but I got a sense of a competitive culture where results were the only measure of success. I don’t doubt it is an excellent institution but I wanted a warmer feeling course. Birmingham was good, I liked the website, but the course seemed too restrictive and getting to speak to a real person seemed to be harder than I expected. Aston was open and spent time to understand me and laid out the options in a realistic, simplified manner. I spent 90 minutes in an adhoc visit and a further 2 hours speaking with Alumni. This level of openness and support made up my mind and I signed up with Aston."

2515.jpg I looked at quite a few universities in the West Midlands area. Industry connect was one of the most important criteria for me to choose a business school. Aston demonstrated a clear competitive advantage in terms of industry connect. After coming to Aston I was very happy with my decision. The extent to which the academicians from Aston Business Schools were connected with the business world was incredible. A lot of the education is hands on and the synergies with theoretical concepts are remarkable.

2516.jpg I would describe it as a great, fruitful and an eye-opening experience which is very challenging and exciting at the same time. It is not only about all the knowledge we are taught but it is about the transformation process of yourself. There is so much more around the MBA which I have never expected. The intercultural environment, the group discussions, the self-learning, the amount of emotions, and all the networking and career-guiding classes. You go through all these ups and downs each day, you start building these strong and deep relationships and have these amazing discussions with students, lecturers and network-partners. The Aston MBA is not just a university - it is an experience for life!
