This course has been developed in response to the demand from clinicians who are seeking to formalise their qualification in clinical education. It focusses on the theoretical and applied knowledge required to function as effective clinical teachers.
The aim of this course is to extend the role and function of the health professional to that of qualified clinical educator, by developing knowledge and expertise in clinical teaching and its application for improvement of student education.
This course will not only contribute towards increasing your credibility in nursing education, but also provide you with important foundational knowledge from which you will base your practice.

Entry requirements (Additional)
English band level 2 - the minimum English Language test scores you need are:
*Academic IELTS – 6.5 (no component lower than 6.0), OR
*TOEFL – 570 (plus minimum Test of Written English score of 4.5), OR
*TOEFL (internet based) – 90 (minimum writing score of 21), OR
*Pearson (PTE Academic) - 64
If you meet the academic requirements for a course, but not the minimum English requirements, you will be given the opportunity to take an English program to improve your skills in addition to an offer to study a degree at JCU. The JCU degree offer will be conditional upon the student gaining a certain grade in their English program. This combination of courses is called a packaged offer.
