Infection Biology - Master´s Programme 60 ECTS

Course Description

During the first semester of the Master programme you will study advanced courses in infection biology, molecular biology, biostatistics and bioinformatics and their applications in infection biology. Laboratory facilities are employed for DNA and protein analyses such as PCR amplification, cloning, and protein expression. Computational resources are also used for molecular biological and bioinformatic analysis and database searching.

The programme is concluded with a master degree project work (30 ECTS credits) in the last semester, within or without Sweden.

Entry Requirements

Pre-requisites are a full Bachelor of Science including basic courses in e.g. molecular genetics, microbiology and recombinant DNA technology with laboratory experience. A further requirement is proof of skills in English equivalent of studies at upper secondary level in Sweden, known as English course B. This is normally demonstrated by means of an internationally recognized test, e g IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 575 or the equivalent
