During the first semester of the Master programme you will study advanced courses in biotechnology, molecular biology, biostatistics and bioinformatics and their applications in biotechnology. DNA and protein analyses such as PCR amplification, site-directed mutagenesis, DNA sequencing, cell culturing and protein expression will be used. Computational resources are also used for molecular biological and bioinformatic analysis and database searching.
The program is concluded with a thesis work (30 ECTS credits) in the last semester, within or outside Sweden.

A full bachelor degree in biology, biomedicine or a related area including courses in e.g. molecular genetics, microbiology and recombinant DNA technology with laboratory experience.IELTS: Overall score of at least 6.5, no less than 5.5 in any section.
